my findings

My argument is about disabilites in comic book characters. My point is about good repsenation and bad respiration. In Casey M. Ratto’s Not Superhero Accessible: The Temporal Stickiness of Disability in Superhero Comics, The author examines the relationship between stickiness and visibility in the construction of disability in superhero comic books.   The author examines 3 diffent superheros and how their disability effects their life. Also how comic book writers rewrite the storyline taking out the event which caused their disability. In “Disability and Depression in Thor Comic Books,. The author examines Thor and how he was a civilian named Donald Blake who is a disabled medical student and in later comics lost his arm and was unworthy to weild his hammer. For my last Drawing Disability in Japanese Manga: by Andrea Wood the author talks about three athletes and the relationship after a tragic event which lead to their disability. The American comics like DC and Marvel could learn how to portray characters with disabilities by examining the writings of Inoue Takehiko.
